Customer Satisfaction

Put quite simply, we aren’t happy until you and your child are. If for any reason you have a concern about you or your child’s soccer camp experience, please communicate with us immediately and we’ll work together toward a speedy resolution.

Class Make-Ups & Cancellations

There are no makeups for our summer camp program. Weather-related cancellations will be posted on the SoccerLearningCenter.com homepage by 7:00 am. We will also send a text message to the cell phone number provided at registration. We usually play in light rain. We will cancel camp in heavier rain conditions or when there is a threat of lightning/thunder.

Player’s Code of Conduct

At The Soccer Learning Center, we stress teamwork as well as player and instructor respect. We expect that each of our players will be ready to listen, learn and actively participate in a team environment. Should a player not conform to general rules of conduct, we will remind them of their responsibilities as a player on our team. If a player continues to disregard camp rules and creates an environment that is disruptive to the rest of the team, we reserve the right to remove that player from camp and/or prohibit them from participating in future sessions.

My Child Isn’t Feeling Well Today – Should They Come to Camp?

If you/your child/their caregiver are feeling unwell, please stay home, rest, and recover with our thanks.

Parent’s Code of Conduct for Camp – Keep it Fun!

We encourage parents and caregivers to be a part of our children’s classes providing enthusiastic and positive reinforcement from the sidelines. We expect our player’s parents/caregivers to abide by the same code of conduct required of our students. Should a parent/caregiver disregard camp rules and create an environment that is disruptive to camp, we reserve the right to remove that parent/caregiver and child from camp and/or prohibit them from participating in future sessions.  We ask that you remain off of the turf field area at all times of the camp.

You are welcome to sit in the available areas outside of the turf field area. Please bring a foldable chair for your comfort. Outdoor port-a-potties are available.

Peanut/Nut Allergy Reaction Prevention

Due to the fact that many of our students have mild to severe peanut/nut allergies, we ask that you not bring any food or beverage that may contain any type of nut into the field areas. If your child has a peanut/nut allergy or any type of allergy that may cause a reaction of any kind, you must notify us in detail of this allergy prior to the start of your/their first class. Please understand that the areas where we teach our classes are often rented to other groups and we cannot control whether food is prepared or served.

Allergies, Asthma, Medical & Health Concerns

If your child uses an Epi-Pen or rescue inhaler, please remember to send these to camp every day in a clearly marked pouch. It’s important our coaches know where your child has these items stored during camp. Please share any health or medical condition that may impact your child on the field or impede breathing or circulation (like asthma, diabetes, allergies, seizure conditions, etc.). Coach Alex is your best, on-site resource to share this information during camp.

If you would like to update any medical information that wasn’t included in your child’s registration, kindly notify our office immediately via email (CoachAlex@SoccerLearningCenter.com) so we can keep our coaches and staff informed. All information is kept strictly confidential.

Critters at Camp

There are absolutely no pets of any kind allowed on the playing area at any time (excluding, of course, service animals).

What to Wear/Bring to Camp

  • All players must be properly dressed at all times when participating in camp sessions. We recommend a comfortable t-shirt and either shorts or light pants as apparel. Due to safety and health code regulations, players are not allowed to remove their shirts at any time during the class.
  • For footwear, cleats are required for the turf field location. We do not recommend wearing sneakers on the turf field for safety reasons. Please make sure your child is also wearing shin guards.
  • ALL jewelry, earrings, rings, watches, fitness trackers, necklaces, bracelets, etc. are potentially hazardous during play and must be removed and safely stored during class. TSLC/Hudson County Parks Department is not responsible for lost or misplaced jewelry, apparel, or other personal items. We do not maintain a lost/found and are required to dispose of any items left in the camp space.
  • If your child wears glasses, their lenses must be made of shatter-proof polycarbonate materials. We HIGHLY recommend children with eyeglass needs wear sports goggles during camp.
  • Hydration for any athlete is always key.  All activities require that you send in a FILLED water/beverage bottle, clearly labeled with your child’s name. Water bottles can no longer be shared by players/siblings so please plan accordingly.

Class Age & Placement

Even though your child is of class age, certain students need a little more training in a younger class to gain the confidence necessary to thrive in our program. Please understand we may request your child be moved to a different camp age group in order to give them the full opportunity to build upon their skills. We appreciate your cooperation as we recommend the proper placement to ensure your child receives the best soccer education available.  While we no longer need a new family to submit a proof of age document when they are registering their child, we do reserve the right to request such a document.  If we request a document, you will be asked to provide proper identification with a valid birth date for your child.
