Our Indoor Location

The Soccer Learning Center holds all of our indoor classes at the Primary Prep School indoor gym located at 41 Tuers Avenue in the Journal Square area of Jersey City, New Jersey. Convenient to the PATH, local buses, UBERs and car transport, the gym offers an idea training area for our youth programs. There is free parking on site across from the school for our registered family members.

TUESDAY FALL 2023 CLASSES

Fall Session – Tuesday, September 12 through Tuesday, October 17

 Tuesday Class Times:

• Ages 5 to 6 – 6:15pm to 7:00pm
• Ages 7 to 10 – 7:10pm to 7:55pm
• Ages 7 to 10 – 8:00pm to 8:45pm

SATURDAY FALL 2023 CLASSES

Fall Session – Saturday, September 9 to Saturday, October 21 – no classes on September 30

Saturday Class Times:

• Ages 5 to 6 –  12:15pm to 1:00pm
• Ages 7 to 10 –  1:10pm to 1:55pm
• Ages 7 to 10 –  2:05pm to 2:50pm

*No makeup classes are provided for any reason except weather related closings and coach absence 

What Your Child Needs for Class

• Sneakers (no cleats), shin guards, and comfortable play clothing.
• Please make sure your child is not wearing jewelry of any kind during class. We will ask you to remove all jewelry from your child if they wear it to class.
• If your child wears glasses, their lenses must be made of shatterproof polycarbonate materials. We HIGHLY recommend children with eye glass needs wear sports goggles during class.
• A soccer ball clearly labeled by a Sharpie with your child’s name in large letters. Children between the ages of 5 and 10 will require a size 4 ball. Older children should bring a size 5 ball. Your child will be required to bring their own ball to every class.
• Clearly labeled filled water bottle. We will not be providing water during class. There will be no sharing of water bottles at any time. 
• Absolutely NO FOOD of any kind is allowed inside the gym area at any time – please eat any food/snacks outside the gym area.
• Parent/caregiver must be present at all classes – this is not a drop off class. Please note that the number of adults accompanying a child may be limited if COVID restrictions are put into place. We will keep you updated if any new guidelines are put into place.
• Parking is available across the street from the Primary Prep School.
• This is an indoor class.
• We are no longer able to maintain a lost/found.  Please be sure to bring all of your belongings with you at the end of class. Any items left at the gym will now be discarded at the end of the class day.
• Please be sure you understand all our policies including our makeup/class cancellation/no refund/no credit policies found here.
• We are required to follow ALL CDC, federal, state and local mandates as they are released. in relation to COVID mitigation. Remember, once you reserve a class space, it is yours and cannot be canceled for any reason other than stated in our COVID/Emergency Shutdown policy.

Alex Lalaoui, the co-founder and Director of Coaching for The Soccer Learning Center, brings a lifetime of soccer experience and a unique approach to coaching to every program within our academy. Believing that students learn best by doing, Coach Alex gets even our youngest players actively involved in every aspect of the game. Marwan Yahia, an Assistant Coach with TSLC for many years, is a student favorite with an exceptional background in coaching and refereeing both youth and adult players. As a former semi-pro player from Morocco, Coach Marwan brings a wealth of experience and insight to his students that translates into real-world skills that our young athletes can bring with them onto the pitch. Coach Marwan’s impressive credentials include:

Abdullah Miftahi, an Assistant Coach and business development team member, has been an essential part of the TSLC vision since its inception back in 2002. Coach Abdullah is a recognized figure on the pitches all over the state and the nation as a much sought-after soccer referee. His calm coaching style is backed by solid experience as a semi-pro player from Morocco. Our youth and adult players have all commented on their appreciation of Coach Abdullah’s disciplined and knowledgeable style of coaching TSLC classes. Moulay Sharif Alaouli is our Operations & Administration Manager overseeing our marketing, social media, customer service, and new program development initiatives. Moulay Sharif grew up surrounded by the world of soccer and brings a wealth of creativity and knowledge to the position.
