Choosing the Right Soccer Class for Your Child
Register for Classes Here
It’s important to remember that children need lots of time to develop basic skills like balance, muscle control, body coordination and more. That’s why it’s equally important to register your child for the session that matches his or her age group – particularly for our youngest students. As a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) trained and licensed coach and instructor, Coach Alex believes that children learn and develop to their full potential through game-like experiences in an enjoyable environment that supports their individual growth. TSLC mirrors the U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Three Pillars approach to youth instruction which includes reality based, holistic and experiential learning opportunities.
In order to participate in our soccer programs, your child must be of class age on or before the first day of the selected class session. A child must be a minimum of four-years-old to begin classes with our academy. There are no exceptions to this rule. All classes are co-ed unless otherwise noted.
Your child needs shin guards, regular sneakers, comfortable clothing, their own ball and a training pinnie to participate. Cleats are not worn at our indoor locations. Cleats are worn in our outdoor camps only when specified. Please refer to our class checklist to get a great start with us.
Ages 4 and 5
Our age 4 and 4/5 classes are a great way to introduce our youngest players to the important fundamentals of soccer. Basic skills are taught following a carefully developed and tested curriculum that focuses upon fun activities for strengthening motor skills and ball play in children. Team building, cooperation and listening are also emphasized. If you have a child that is five years old and new to soccer, we highly recommend you enroll in one season of our 4/5 class to help build confidence and skill in your young athlete. Find classes

Ages 7 to 10
Young athletes from the ages of 7 to 10 take our classes to either strengthen existing soccer skills or learn the game from the ground up. Classes are kept small so every student has a chance to learn to manage different positions, understand the laws of the game, and pick up on the best strategies to help build their skills. Team building, fair play, strategizing for smart soccer play, and scrimmaging are all emphasized. Actual matches are played during class so students get an actual feel for the game. Find classes
Ages 10 and Up
These sessions are specially designed for soccer players with some experience and help strengthen skills and emphasize strategies for soccer success. Students will be challenged to demonstrate their proficiency with tactics and techniques, defensive and offensive maneuvers, goal scoring ability and more. Team building and scrimmage play will be emphasized. Actual matches are played during class so students get an actual feel for the game. Find classes
Adult Classes & League Tournaments
Our adult offerings have grown from one tournament played on special occasions to recreational pick-up games and league opportunities for players at every experience level.
Our groups are comprised of men and women, age 21 and over, from all over the metropolitan area – some whom have never played up to collegiate level champions. What every player has in common is a love of the game and a desire to have a great time, stay fit, and meet new friends.
