Customer Satisfaction

Put quite simply, we aren’t happy until you and your child are. If for any reason you have a concern about you or your child’s soccer class, please communicate with us immediately and we’ll work together toward a speedy resolution.

Class Make-Ups

Class make-ups will only be offered for weather-related closings authorized by The Soccer Learning Center. Please be sure your child’s activity schedule can accommodate our class schedule. There are no makeups due to schedule conflicts, illness, injury, vacations, family obligations, or special events. No class makeups or online classes will be offered if a mandated closure occurs due to a quarantine, pandemic or local/state/national emergency.

Refunds & Emergency/Pandemic-Related Credit Policy

Please Review Carefully - There Are No Exceptions to our Updated Refund Policy

Your soccer tuition is non-refundable for any reason after you register with us – for classes, events, or summer camp programs.

The only deviation from this policy will exist for extended mandated closures due to a mandated quarantine, pandemic or state/local/national emergency. In that case, if the closure mandate occurs BEFORE the start of the FIRST CLASS of the registered season and it appears that the season will be cancelled in part or in full, a refund will be provided upon written request no later than 30 days after the cancellation is announced.

If the mandated closure occurs AFTER the start of the FIRST CLASS of the registered season, all tuition paid for that season will NOT be refunded and no credits/makeups/online classes or equivalent classes will be offered. As a small business, we are unable to absorb the additional costs of an additional emergency-related closure at this time. We have instituted this refund policy as a reflection of the urgent financial situation we find ourselves in due to the continued devastating impacts we are still experiencing today from the mandated pandemic closure of our business.

No refunds, class credits, online classes or equivalent classes will be provided if a mandated closure occurs due to a local/state/national emergency, mandated quarantine, or pandemic other than the specific refund provision described above.

Please communicate with us immediately should you have a concern about you or your child’s soccer class experience – we are committed to making sure you are 100% satisfied. Remember, classes at The Soccer Learning Center are limited in size to provide the best instructional experience for your child. Once you register and pay for a class, camp or event session, that spot is considered reserved and unavailable to others.

Please make sure your child’s activity schedule is confirmed prior to reserving a space with us – we cannot offer refunds due to conflicts with other activities or classes. Should you register and pay for classes at The Soccer Learning Center and then fail to attend class, you are not eligible for full or partial tuition refunds. We reserve the right to charge a $25.00 administrative fee for any change once you’ve already registered for classes.

If you dispute your confirmed credit card charge and reserved class space with your payment provider or PayPal, we reserve the right to proceed with collections and/or legal actions to ensure the recovery of the disputed amount plus any additional fees and damages. We encourage you to communicate with us to ensure proper compliance with all of our policies. If you do not recognize a charge from The Soccer Learning Center, please call/contact us first prior to disputing it with your merchant. This process is very costly for our small business.

Player’s Code of Conduct

At The Soccer Learning Center, we stress teamwork as well as player and instructor respect. We expect that each of our players will be ready to listen, learn and actively participate in a team environment. Should a player not conform to general rules of conduct, we will remind them of their responsibilities as a player on our team. If a player continues to disregard classroom rules and creates an environment that is disruptive to the rest of the team, we reserve the right to remove that player from class and/or prohibit them from participating in future class sessions.
At The Soccer Learning Center, we will do our best to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our players and their fans. Class cancellations or delays may occur which are out of our control.

You are reminded:

  • If you/your child/their caregiver are feeling unwell, please stay home.
  • The Primary Prep School maintains the thorough cleanliness of our training space daily.
  • NO FOOD of any kind can be consumed while in the gym area including snacks. Please eat any food/snacks outside of the gym. Please be sensitive and respectful to our players with allergies to foods, animals, environmental issues, etc.

Class Checklist

Please make sure you’re familiar with our class checklist.

Lost & Found

TSLC is not responsible for any items you or your child may leave behind or lose during the class session.

Red Card Conduct Rule

The Soccer Learning Center reserves the right to immediately and permanently expel any player (children or adult); their parents/caregivers; or a class spectator; and request that they leave the location premises for any serious infraction that violates our strictly enforced code of conduct. Activities that may lead to an instant “Red Card” expulsion include, but are not limited to: verbal abuse of any kind (cursing, name calling, defaming, demeaning or discriminatory remarks, etc); physical assault of any kind (spitting, hitting, kicking, biting, etc); unsportsmanship-like conduct; destruction of academy or class location property; disruptive class behavior; disruptive parent or spectator behavior, non-compliance to safety policies, etc.

Should a player/parent/participant/spectator be expelled under our “Red Card” rule, a clear explanation of the policy violation will be provided upon request and any applicable paid tuition will be forfeited.

Parent/Caregiver Participation – Children’s Classes

We encourage parents and caregivers to be a part of our children’s classes providing enthusiastic and positive reinforcement from the sidelines. We expect our player’s parents to abide by the same code of conduct required of our students. Should a parent disregard classroom rules and create an environment that is disruptive to The Soccer Learning Center, we reserve the right to remove that parent and child from class and/or prohibit them from participating in future class sessions. Any paid tuition will be forfeited.

Gymnasium Etiquette for Parents & Caregivers

We are dedicated to educating your child about soccer in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Our standards are high – and our reputation in the community reflects our commitment. We expect parents/caregivers to partner with us in these efforts by remembering to follow these key policies:

  • Please remember to wait until Coach Alex invites you in to the gym to begin your soccer class. Please do not allow your child to play with his/her ball or distract an ongoing class if you arrive early. If you arrive late to class, please enter the gym doors quietly, follow the wall/sidelines and get settled on the sidelines. Have your child enter onto the field to his/her coach to begin playing.
  • Remain off of the gymnasium floor during class – even if your child is reluctant to play. Please let the coaches encourage your child into the class. There is a gym floor area for spectators. If you need to leave the gymnasium during class, please do not cross across the gym floor. Stay close to the wall, and behind the goal line and sidelines.
  • Keep strollers, book bags, lunch boxes, bikes, scooters, toys, and other items away from the playing field areas in order to prevent collision and tripping accidents.
  • Keep other children in your care that are not participating in a scheduled class off of the gym floor at ALL TIMES. Babies and toddlers are especially vulnerable to serious injury if they are left to wander onto the gym floor – please be vigilant about keeping them by your side. Please practice proper social distancing at all times.
  • If your child is reluctant to play, let the Coach work with them without interference. Shouting or prodding from the sidelines/walking onto the gymnasium floor only increases your child’s anxiety. Coach Alex is extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of shy, anxious, and reluctant players.
  • Making sure you bring your child to class on time without rushing is an important first step in helping them feel comfortable to play in a new environment.
  • Remember that if you as a parent, caregiver, or spectator, have the occasion to kick/pass a soccer ball in the gym area, please do so responsibly, gently and with a careful eye out for our student’s safety. You should never kick a ball full-force or try to shoot the ball into a goal – a soccer ball kicked by an adult could seriously injure a child. You are free to socialize in the vestibule area. If you wish to chat with the Coach, please email him at CoachAlex@SoccerLearningCenter.com or call the office at 201.656.1156. Coach Alex can be reached directly at 201.920.8523 via voice or text.

Please remember not to consume ANY FOOD in the gymnasium areas.

This is Not a Drop-Off Class

Never leave your child(ren) unattended in TSLC weekday or weekend classes. The Soccer Learning Center is not a “drop-off” class – a parent or caregiver must always be in the gymnasium area AT ALL TIMES. Parents risk immediate termination of class privileges without tuition reimbursement if they leave their child(ren) unattended in class. Some of our summer camp options are drop-off optional. We will communicate this option to you in the camp description.

Returned Check Policy

Should you pay a tuition fee by check, and that check is returned to us by the bank, you will be required to pay a $30 administrative fee in addition to your tuition payment. You are responsible for contacting us once you’ve learned your check has been returned. We will not hold you or your child’s spot in class unless your tuition payment and bank fees are paid to us by cash or money order within three days of the date of your check’s return.

Disputed PayPal/Merchant Payments

Should you dispute and reverse a valid PayPal or merchant card payment to The Soccer Learning Center, please be advised that you will be charged a $30.00 administration fee in addition to your regular tuition payment.

If you dispute your confirmed credit card charge and reserved class space with your payment provider or PayPal, we also reserve the right to proceed with collections and/or legal actions to ensure the recovery of the disputed amount plus any additional fees and damages.

We encourage you to contact our office at 201-656-1156 to discuss any questions regarding your PayPal payments prior to disputing them. Our credit card identifier is TEAM RAJA LLC/TSLC.

Peanut/Nut Allergy Reaction Prevention

Due to the fact that many of our students have mild to severe peanut/nut allergies, we ask that you not bring any food or beverage that may contain any type of nut into the building or gym areas. If you (as one our adult players) or your child has a peanut/nut allergy or any type of allergy that may cause a reaction of any kind, you must notify us in detail of this allergy prior to the start of your/their first class. Please understand that the gymnasiums/areas where we teach our classes are often rented to other groups and we cannot control whether food is prepared or served.

Critters in Class

There are absolutely no pets of any kind allowed inside the building or on the playing area at any time (excluding service animals).

Class Dress Code

All players must be properly dressed at all times when participating in class sessions. We recommend a comfortable t-shirt and either shorts or sweat pants as apparel. For footwear, sneakers, with laces tied/secured at all times, are required. We do not play with cleats at our indoor field locations. Players will not be allowed to participate if they are wearing any other type of footwear other than sneakers (no cleats) for our indoor classes. ALL jewelry, earrings, rings, watches, fitness trackers, necklaces, bracelets, etc. is potentially hazardous during play and must be removed and safely stored during class. TSLC is not responsible for lost or misplaced jewelry, apparel or other personal items. We do not maintain a lost/found and are required to dispose of any items left in the gym space at the conclusion of each class session.

Due to safety and health code regulations, players are not allowed to remove their shirts at any time during the class. Shin guards, available at sporting good stores or on Amazon are also required for all players.

We reserve the right to remove any player/their caregiver from class who does not conform to this dress code. All paid tuition will be forfeited for non compliance.
Hydration for any athlete is always key. All activities require that you send in a FILLED water/beverage bottle, clearly labeled with your child’s name. Water bottles can no longer be shared by players/siblings so please plan accordingly.

Eyewear

If your child wears glasses, their lenses must be made of shatter-proof polycarbonate materials. We HIGHLY recommend children with eye glass needs wear sports goggles during class.

Class Age & Placement

The Soccer Learning Center reserves the right to refuse registration placement for any player at any time for any reason. Even though your child is of class age, certain students need a little more training in a younger class to gain the confidence necessary to thrive in our program. Please understand we may request your child be moved to a different class in order to give them the full opportunity to build upon their skills. We appreciate your cooperation as we recommend the proper placement to ensure your child is receiving the best soccer education available. While we no longer need a new family to submit a proof of age document when they are registering their child, we do reserve the right to request such a document. If we request a document, you will be asked to provide proper identification with a valid birth date for your child. Refusal to submit a document upon request will result in a 100% forfeit of your child’s place in class and all paid tuition.
