How Do I Choose the Right Class for My Child
It’s important to remember that children need lots of time and repetition to develop basic soccer skills like balance, muscle control, body coordination, and more. That’s why it’s equally important to register your child for the session that matches their age group – particularly for our youngest academy students.
In order to participate in our soccer programs, your child must be of class age on or before the first day of the selected class session. There are no exceptions to this rule. All classes are co-ed unless otherwise noted.
Your child needs shin guards, regular sneakers, comfortable clothing, and their own ball to participate. Cleats are not worn at our indoor locations. Cleats are worn in our outdoor camps only when specified. Please refer to our class checklist to get a great start with us.
Ages 5 to 6
Our classes for 5-and 6-year-olds focus upon learning the basic laws of soccer, key technical skills and game-essential fundamentals. Players will perform drills that reinforce the important concepts of soccer and participate in actual scrimmages to enhance team building. Lessons are structured upon a carefully developed and tested curriculum created exclusively for young athletes. Find classes
Ages 7 to 10
Young athletes from the ages of 7 to 10 take our classes to either strengthen existing soccer skills or learn the game from the ground up. Classes are kept small so every student has a chance to learn to manage different positions, understand the laws of the game, and pick up on the best strategies to help build their skills. Team building, fair play, strategizing for smart soccer play, and scrimmaging are all emphasized. Actual matches are played during class so students get an actual feel for the game. Find classes
Ages 10 and Up
These sessions are specially designed for soccer players with some experience and help strengthen skills and emphasize strategies for soccer success. Students will be challenged to demonstrate their proficiency with tactics and techniques, defensive and offensive maneuvers, goal scoring ability and more. Team building and scrimmage play will be emphasized. Actual matches are played during class so students get an actual feel for the game. Find classes
Secaucus Soccer – Our Adult League Program
Our adult offerings have grown from one tournament played on special occasions to recreational pick-up games and league opportunities for players at every experience level. Our league teams are comprised of men and women, age 21 and over, from all over the metropolitan area – some whom have never played up to collegiate level champions. What every player has in common is a love of the game and a desire to have a great time, stay fit, and meet new friends.
